We will be carrying out essential maintenance of our gas infrastructure along a section of the Comber Greenway, between the Comber start point (BT23) and the Billy Neill Playing Fields entrance (BT16).
These works are crucial to support the increased demand for gas in the area and to ensure we continue to deliver a safe and efficient gas supply.
Works are scheduled to commence on Monday 12th May until Friday 16th May, a duration of 5 days.
For public safety, this section of the Greenway will be closed throughout the works. We kindly ask all users to seek alternative routes during this period.
Clear signage will be in place at the Comber start point, the Billy Neill Playing Fields entrance and at additional key access points along the Greenway.
We understand the Comber Greenway is a popular route for both commuters and leisure users. Our contractors are committed to carrying out the work as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption. The planned construction has also been coordinated in consultation with the Department of Infrastructure.
The section highlighted in red on the map below marks the affected area of the closure.
