Planned gas network construction is scheduled to take place at the A50 Bann Road junction/A25 Dublin Road roundabout, Castlewellan.
These works are required to facilitate the installation of new gas mains into Castlewellan Forest Park. A lane closure will be in place during two phases of works:
Phase 1: Tuesday 5th May, 9.30am - Friday 8th May, 4pm (continuous)
Phase 2: Monday 11th May, 9.30am - Friday 15th May, 4pm (continuous)
Clear signage will be in place indicating the lane closure from 21st April on the approaching main roads leading into Castlewellan. Temporary traffic lights will also be in place.
Our contractors are committed to carrying out work as efficiently as possible to minimise disruption for all users but delays are expected, so please allow additional travel time while the works are in place.
The section highlighted in red on the map below marks the affected area of the closure.
