Building Back Fuelled by Phoenix Funding

Phoenix Energy has been fuelling community connections with three local events supported by the Phoenix Energy Building Back Together Fund which has been launched to help fuel community engagement by offering a financial boost to bring communities back together.

Over the last week, the Phoenix Energy Building Back Together Fund has supported:

Young people from Crossgar Youth Club to come together and take part in a range of fitness activities while learning about the importance of making healthy choices.

  • A Family Fun Day at Castle Park in Newcastle, providing additional entertainment for the children and families who attended.
  • The Gallaun Residents Association ‘Day of Celebration’ marking the progress the community has made in the last year to improve their local community.

Having made connection to the natural gas network possible for East Down residents and business in recent years, Phoenix Energy continues to develop connections across the community, as Jonathan Martindale, Director of Business Development at Phoenix Energy explains:

“We’re delighted to continue growing community connections as we develop our network across East Down. There are many local groups doing great work to help reduce social isolation and bring people back together we’re pleased that the Building Back Together Fund is enabling them to do it in a safe and inclusive way.”

Open now, the Phoenix Building Back Together Fund welcomes applications from community groups and organisations big and small across the Phoenix Energy licence area who can present a covid safe community event plan for delivery before the 30th September 2021.
