To celebrate Women in Engineering Day, we were delighted to welcome aspiring female engineers to our offices and one of our live connection sites for an inspiring behind-the-scenes look at life in the industry.
Two of our engineers, Heather and Deborah, shared their career journeys during a Q&A session, offering honest insights into their experiences and demonstrating some of the equipment they use every day on the job.
The group also visited one of our connection sites to learn about site safety, discover the innovative technologies helping to improve productivity, and hear how a mole is used to connect properties to the mains.
It was fantastic to meet women at different stages of their careers, all keen to explore the opportunities engineering has to offer. We hope the day inspired the next generation of female engineers.
