Phoenix Energy is proud to announce that it has once again achieved Platinum Level in the 2025 Environmental Benchmarking Survey through Business in the Community Northern Ireland. The prestigious recognition places Phoenix among the region's environmental leaders.
Phoenix has achieved success in the assessment since the company’s infancy and has now retained Platinum Level for the 5th year running. The Environmental Benchmarking Survey assesses organisations against sector peers and leading local organisations based on environmental management and performance in key areas, as well as the extent to which environmental business practices have been embedded within corporate strategies.
Speaking about the assessment, Phoenix Energy’s Health, Safety and Environment Manager, Adrian McNeilly said, “Operating in an environmentally responsible manner is fundamental to how we do business at Phoenix Energy. Whether it’s through our supply chain monitoring, community biodiversity initiatives or our own pathway to net zero in which we are working to deliver renewable gas solutions into our network, environmental sustainability is something that Phoenix is passionate about, and that has clearly been recognised through our fifth Platinum Level Environmental Benchmarking award.”
Lisa McIlvenna, Managing Director (Acting) of Business in the Community NI said, “The Survey is a self-disclosure exercise that offers organisations a way to be externally assessed and scored on their environmental efforts and performance. Participating organisations are sent a Gap Analysis Report to help them to identify areas that need action and highlights where they are performing well, so it’s a comparison tool and real driver for improvement.”
