Phoenix Energy brings stakeholders together for a day of volunteering and relationship building

Tcv Stakeholder Day

Last month, Phoenix Energy brought together colleagues and stakeholders from across its network for a sunny day of volunteering, collaboration and environmental action, in collaboration with long term partner, The Conservation Volunteers (TCV).

The annual TCV Stakeholder Volunteering Day provides Phoenix Energy with an opportunity to step away from the office and bring the people it works closely with together to enhance local biodiversity. This year, representatives from Kier, Grand Opera House, Women’s TEC, Carbon Fit, Belfast City Marathon, Lighthouse and Business in the Community joined Phoenix Energy colleagues for the day.

The day, which has become a firm fixture in Phoenix’s Responsible Business calendar of events, reflects the organisation’s wider commitment to environmental responsibility and its ongoing partnership with TCV, which sees Phoenix Energy colleagues come together multiple times a year to support biodiversity, improve green spaces, and plant 8,000 trees annually across the licensed area.

Rebecca Dalzell, Communications Manager at Phoenix Energy said, “Our Stakeholder Volunteering Day is an important and collaborative opportunity in the Phoenix calendar because it gives us the chance to get to know each other better out of the meeting rooms and Teams calls. The day also gives stakeholders the chance to meet people from completely different organisations and make new connections.

There is a real sense of community throughout the day. We are all there with a shared purpose to strengthen our relationships, support each other and make a positive difference to the environment around us. It is a great reminder that some of the best partnerships can be built when we step away from the office and get stuck in to something fun and rewarding together.”
