Phoenix Energy Fuels Family Fun Day

Homestart 2

Phoenix Energy were delighted to support a fantastic local event for young families hosted by Home-Start East Antrim, on Saturday 19th August, through the Phoenix Community Fund. Home-Start East Antrim provides a family support service across the areas of Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and Larne, and they chose to host the event so that their volunteers and service-users alike could come together for a day of fun, food and entertainment for all the little ones.

Speaking at the event, Rebecca Dalzell, Communications Manager for Phoenix Energy said: “As a responsible local business, Phoenix likes to give back to the communities we operate in where we can. Our Community Fund provides a great opportunity for us to do this, and the best part about the fund is that all the local projects are really broad ranging and diverse. Seeing so many young families come together today to enjoy the event is heartwarming.”

Kelly Taylor, Manager at Home-Start East Antrim said: “We are really grateful to Phoenix for supporting the event today. We wanted to acknowledge all our volunteers and give them a day of celebration alongside the families that they help on a regular basis. The turnout has been great and the children are having a fantastic time. We couldn’t have done it without the support from Phoenix Energy.”

The 2023 Phoenix Community Fund has now been allocated. Local community groups can find out more about next year's fund by keeping an eye on our website and social media channels.
