Phoenix Energy was delighted to welcome female employees and community partners to a morning of conversation, connection and celebration as we hosted a special panel event last week, ahead of International Women’s Day.
The session brought together three fantastic speakers, Kellie-Ann Hoey FCIPR (SHS Group), Caroline Wilson (Taste & Tour) and Lynn Carvill MBE (WOMENSTEC) who shared honest reflections on moments that shaped their careers. Hosted by Phoenix’s Communications Manager, Rebecca Dalzell, the discussion explored the realities of building a successful career as a woman in business, celebrating achievements while offering practical wisdom and encouragement.
Our speakers spoke openly about:
- The skills and mindset shift that proved most valuable as they progressed
- What they wish they’d known earlier in their careers
- Navigating ambition alongside societal expectations placed on women
- The importance of both receiving and offering support, true “give and gain” in action
Speaking about the event on the day, Rebecca Dalzell, Communications Manager at Phoenix Energy said, “We are so pleased to see so many colleagues and friends here today to celebrate International Women’s Day. I’m really grateful to our three genuinely fantastic speakers who were so generous with their time and so honest in their conversation. They really brought the energy as well. I was so pleased to make space for this conversation at work, and judging by the reaction in the room today, it’s one that will be continuing.”
The audience left with takeaways they can apply in their own careers, renewed confidence to pursue their ambitions and a sense of belonging within a community of women who champion one another’s success.
