Phoenix Energy, Northern Ireland’s largest gas distribution business, has been recognised by GRESB as a world-leading network utility for its environmental, social and governance sustainability.

GRESB is an industry-driven organisation committed to assessing the environmental, social and governance (ESG) sustainability performance of Real Estate and Infrastructure assets around the globe. It is the most well-established standard used by institutional investors to measure and benchmark the ESG sustainability performance of their portfolios and funds.

In 2025, Phoenix not only retained its five-star GRESB rating, but it also achieved two Sector Leader awards as well as coming joint 1^st in its sector globally. Phoenix’s GRESB awards included Infrastructure Asset Super Class Leader - Network Utilities, and Infrastructure Asset Class Leader - Network Utilities: Gas Distribution Companies.
