Phoenix Energy is delighted to announce its continued partnership with Sport Changes Life Foundation for the third consecutive year to deliver an interactive Environmental Education Programme. This initiative aims to inspire young people to protect the environment while fostering personal development through sport.
Running throughout 2025, the programme will engage approximately 450 primary 7 students (ages 10-11) across 15 schools in the East Down and Greater Belfast area. Combining education and sport, the sessions will include a 30-minute classroom workshop and a 50-minute practical activity including interactive activities such as quizzes, relays, and sports games through using recyclable materials to reinforce sustainability practices. The programme is designed to increase environmental awareness and teach practical conservation skills.
Alan Teggart, CEO of Sport Changes Life said, “Over the past two years, our partnership with Phoenix Energy has delivered real, measurable impact; engaging schools, inspiring young people through sport, and raising awareness of environmental responsibility. As we enter our third year, we’re excited to build on that momentum, reaching even more schools and empowering more young people to lead healthier active lives and take positive action for their environment."
Emma McConkey, Responsible Business Champion of Phoenix Energy said “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Sport Changes Life Foundation and deliver this exciting Environmental Education Programme. This initiative not only empowers young people to take meaningful action to protect the environment but also combines the transformative power of sport with education to inspire personal growth and community engagement. We are proud to play a role in shaping a brighter, more sustainable future for the next generation."
