Phoenix Energy recently hosted its first Stakeholder Engagement Forum, bringing together over 40 representatives from across government, industry, community and consumer organisations at The MAC, Belfast.
The event provided an opportunity to share updates on Phoenix Energy’s plans and priorities, while gathering open and constructive feedback from stakeholders to help inform the company’s future direction.
Delegates took part in a series of facilitated discussions, exploring key topics including inclusive service delivery, future metering solutions and the role of the gas network in the energy transition. The session was designed to gather practical insight, challenge thinking and encourage collaboration, with a strong focus on ensuring customer needs and real-world experience shape future plans.
The forum also marked the release of Phoenix Energy’s annual Responsible Business Report, highlighting the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering social, environmental and economic value across Northern Ireland.
Speaking at the event, Kailash Chada, Group Chief Executive at Phoenix Energy, said: “It is extremely encouraging to see such a strong turnout at our first stakeholder engagement forum, and to hear such open and constructive contributions from across the room. Events like this are an important part of how we listen, test our thinking and ensure our plans are grounded in real experience. The feedback we’ve received will play an important role as we look ahead.”
Jonathan Martindale, Director of Business Development at Phoenix Energy added: “It is so valuable to have such a diverse range of stakeholders in the room. Hearing different perspectives is essential to ensuring we deliver a service that works for our customers in a practical and meaningful way.”
Greta Gurklyte, Disability Action, commented: “Events like this are important in making sure the voices and experiences of customers are reflected in how services are designed and delivered. It was positive to see a real openness to listening and learning, and a clear commitment to continuing that conversation.”
Terry Waugh, Action Renewables, added: “The forum provided a useful opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector. Bringing stakeholders together in this way helps to build understanding and encourages the collaboration needed to support Northern Ireland’s transition to more sustainable energy.”
Phoenix Energy is keen to continue the conversation with stakeholders as we develop our future plans, and we welcome input from any organisations who may wish to get in touch. If you would like to attend future stakeholder engagement events please contact us at info@phoenixenergyni.com
