Players at Owenbeg Bowling Club in Downpatrick were given a boost this week by Phoenix Energy as the company provided players with a new team kit for their first bowling season.
Owenbeg Bowling Club, based in Stream Street, now has 22 players, many of which picked up a bowl for the first time just 10 months ago. The team have been bowled over by the local support and are looking forward to taking part in the NIPGL leagues for the coming seasons.
Club President, Dermot Mullan, said, “We’re delighted to unveil the new shirts which have been sponsored by Phoenix Energy and with the natural gas network now extended to Downpatrick we hope their sponsorship helps fuel success for the upcoming seasons.
“The club has been seeking a new kit to bring our new team together and it’s great to finally unveil the shirts and to celebrate our relationship with Phoenix Energy.”
