Phoenix Energy recently held the first in a series of virtual briefings designed to support businesses operating within the wider natural gas industry.
The virtual meet up, hosted by Neil McCracken, General Sales Manager at Phoenix Energy, featured presentations from experts at Deloitte and Carson McDowell who shared insights on the schemes available from the Government to support businesses during Covid-19 as well as a briefing from Adrian McNeilly, Health & Safety Manager at Phoenix Energy, on the mitigations that local businesses will need to consider as they make preparations for resuming their operations.
Speaking about the briefing, Neil McCracken, General Sales Manager at Phoenix Energy said; “Businesses right across the economy have been impacted by Covid-19 and we wanted to play our part as the largest gas distributor in Northern Ireland to ensure that those businesses and traders in the natural gas industry were aware of all the financial supports available to them.
“Throughout the lockdown plumbers, manufactures and merchants have maintained their operations to ensure customers and critical care facilities had access to hot water and heating, calling out to resolve any issues at all times of the day and night. Through our briefing we wanted to acknowledge the great work they do and offer them access to industry advice on issues that are important to them at these times.”
More than 45 local businesses attended the first virtual meet up with further events in plan.
