Shore Road Reinforcement

We're carrying out essential reinforcement of our network on the A2 Shore Road. This is to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our growing and existing customer base now, and into the future.

Latest Update: 6th February 2025

We regret to inform you that the lane closure at Whitehouse Working Men’s Club will be extended until Wednesday 12th February.

This is a complex engineering project which has been delayed for various reasons: time lost due to the red weather warning storm, and we experienced difficult drilling conditions. Once the road has been reinstated fully, our teams will need at least 72-96 hours to ensure that the concrete has cured sufficiently to allow for A Road traffic volume.

All going well, we’re aiming to complete works at Whitehouse junction by Wednesday 12th February. We want to thank the Whiteabbey community for your continued patience and understanding throughout this network reinforcement project.

Latest Update: 31st January 2025

Unfortunately, we are experiencing a delay in the completion of works on the Shore Road, at the junction of Whitehouse Park. Works were due to finish on Wednesday 5th February but due to difficult weather and ground conditions, construction has been delayed by 2 days. Therefore, the amended project completion date is Friday 7th February.

We’ll do everything possible to minimise the inconvenience caused by this work. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Phoenix Energy on 03454 555 555 or email info@phoenixenergyni.com
